Stronger Together
Preview Clip – “Stronger Together” is a multimedia video project I created for Life Community Church in Kirkland, WA.
Tools used: Krita, Blender, Premiere Pro.
Background & Goals

I received a brief summary of the sermon including the title, key verses, focus, and the desired application. My Objective was to create a multimedia video to promote one of Life Community Church’s upcoming sermons. With that information I was able to create this video that shows how we are stronger together than we are alone.

Process & Progress
Step 1
Brainstorm Ideas.

Took notes and brainstormed based on the information provided in order to decide on a story that would best encapsulate the main idea of the sermon.
Step 2
Create all 2D assets in Krita.
Drew 2D assets with drawing tablet and included transparency.
Step 3
Environment Creation.
Modeled core elements of the world. Buildings, grass, sidewalks, in order to establish the physical space and perspective.
Step 4
Character Integration.
Imported and layered 2D assets, adjusting lighting and depth so they fit naturally within the 3D environment.
Step 5
World Details.
Added secondary elements such as trees, bushes, light posts, and building lights to enhance realism and visual balance.
Step 6
Animation & Motion.
Keyframed camera movement, character motion, and environmental animation to bring the scene to life.
Step 7
Post-Production

Finalized the sequence in Premiere Pro. Refining pacing and tone until the visuals and sounds felt unified. Also implemented motion graphics.
Final Outcome
A collaborative message brought to life through design and animation.

A blend of 3D environment design, 2D animation, and motion graphics, this piece explores how visual storytelling can express community and strength. Designed for Life Community Church, the finished video was featured on their social media to encourage engagement with the Stronger Together message.

Reflection
This project pushed me to balance storytelling and design. I had to merge 3D and 2D animation into one visual language while keeping the message of unity at the center. The biggest challenge was creating a world that felt alive but still supported the church’s message.
Through this process I learned how powerful environmental storytelling can be. The lighting carried the emotion, showing peace within darkness. Since the character has no face, I had to find other ways to express feeling. I used small details like a sweat drop running down their head or a quiet hum to show mood and personality. This project taught me that storytelling can come from light, framing, and movement, and not just dialogue or overt expression.
